Frankofon Förlag was founded in 2007 by Annelie Karlsson, CEO and editor in chief. Frankofon started off with publishing a magazine in Swedish about France, further on started publishing books and as from last year a new series of Le Bookazine, hybrid between a traditional book and a magazine. Annelie as well as her collaborators are all Francophiles. Together we are all committed to the discovery of the genuine story behind everything we write about. We want to tell a story of the good in life, which could be based on a personality, a family, a destination, a 3rd generation vineyard or an innovation that changes the world.
So far the publications have been focused on France but the series of Le Bookazine Good Future will go beyond the French border. We no longer see any geographical borders. All we wish for is a publication that encourages our readers to feel optimism and that inspires their lives. We are currently working on the first edition of Le Bookazine Good Future. This edition is to be published in September 2018.
We intend to give our readers Bookazines filled with extraordinary stories. We want it to be an experience for the eye, the soul and of course we hope you’ll be inspired to discover these places to live your unique experience.
The publications of Frankofon are to be found in book stores, in specialized stores, at hotels, restaurants, spa, golf courses and on online bookstores. We also have a number of representatives responsible for the distributions in Sweden, in France and elsewhere.
In 2012 we published “Godbitar i Provence – en reportagebok”, a book for everyone who dreamt and dreams about Provence.
The same year we also published “Marseille – från kriminell till kulturell”. That book gives you a glimpse of this vibrant city constantly developing and growing.
In 2013, ”Korsika – en reseberättelse” was published. The author Johan Tell takes us around this, for many unknown, beautiful French island.
In 2014, we published ”Le Menu , tack!”, written by Staffan Heimersson, the Swedish journalist who has been several times around the world as a foreign correspondent and now has chosen Provence as his pied-à-terre. In this book he introduces you to the kitchen of Provence and to the art of cooking and enjoying food.
In 2015, the first ever “Bookazine” was published. “Le Bookazine Golf, Gastronomy & Wine in Provence & Corsica”. Le Bookazine, a hybrid between a book and a magazine, takes us to the best golf courses, restaurants, hotels and vineyards in Provence and in Corsica.
Thanks to our AD: Amelie Stenbeck-Ramel and to our photographer Camille Moirenc we produce high quality Books and Bookazines printed in Göteborg, Sweden, according to our demands of sustainable work and paper.
