Good Future had the privilege to be invited to Virgin Unite’s Disrupting Gathering for Good Leadership at Richard Branson’s Necker Island. In December, Virgin Unite hosted its first Leadership Gathering on Necker Island since the 2017 hurricanes that devastated the British Virgin Islands and beyond. Disrupting for Good 2018 brought together an extraordinary group of leaders under the theme Refuge, including Executive Director of the IRC David Miliband, former President of the Maldives Mohamed Nasheed, President of Google Jacquelline Fuller, 2018 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Jaha Dukureh, Director of Strategy for Public Interest Technology at New America Vivian Graubard, and musician and UNDP Ocean Advocate Cody Simpson. The group rallied to support Jaha in creating a micro-finance group for women in Gambia, the IRC's critical work in Yemen, and President Nasheed's vision for a global Coral Reef Alliance.
